Hot Day For A Swim

In the weekends My dad, brother, Kryzjon, and I went to  the swimming pool because it was so hot like a volcano. We picked up Kryzjon from his house so we could go together.

When we got to the pool we went to reception to ask them how much it would cost and the lady said “It’s free for children under sixteen years of age”. So we said thank you and went off to get changed. After we got changed we went off for a swim. When we got into the water it was so cold but it was ok because we were there as it was a hot day.

While we were in the water my dad told me that he was going to swim so I stopped and watched him. When he went for a swim My cousin and I decided to go for a swim to. When we got to the deep side we realized that my cousin was not tall enough for it.

When my dad came back from his swim he said “its time to go home now boys”

so we all got out of the pool and went to the changing rooms. After we got changed my dad drove us all home..

My Weekend Recount

On the weekend I was at my dad's house. My cousin and I were playing cricket in the backyard. We used my dad's tennis rackets and his squash balls to play cricket. While we were playing my cousin went extremely overboard and hit the ball all the way onto the road.

When he did that we were lucky because there weren't any around, otherwise there might have been an accident. After he did that we both went inside the house and had a rest, we played on the X-box until my dad came back from work.

When my dad came back from work we went to the Red-rat at Hunters plaza to get me a pair of new converse. After we brought my shoes we went straight home, because my dad had to go to a funeral because his cousin's wife died.

It was a half happy and half sad weekend for us.

My Prayer to God

In room 7 we are writing our own personal prayers. I wrote this prayer to God to look after my nana.

My Nana's Funeral

On the first week of the holidays, it was a very sad week for our whole family because my nana who is my great grandma passed away on 27 of September.. When she passed away our whole family stopped everything that we were doing and went to my uncle’s house where my nana died.

For my nana’s funeral, we had 5 nights of praying for my nana. On Saturday morning, it was her burial. It was very sad at the cemetery because everyone sang the songs that she taught us and we were reading the verses she taught us when we were young.

That was the saddest holiday for my whole family and I. I hope the next holiday break will be a better one.

Exciting Experiment!

In room 7 we have been talking and learning about escaping water for science. So last Friday in our groups we were trying to make water escape from the jar with water in it to the one that is empty.
